Game Description

Wave Race 64 - Shindou Edition is a racing video game developed and published by Nintendo for Nintendo 64 in 1997 as a re-release of its original Wave Race 64 version. The game consists of the player racing a jet ski on a variety of circuits while successfully maneuvering the vehicle around various buoys. It also includes a multiplayer mode in which two players can race against each other on a chosen track. The game supports the Controller Pak, which allows players to transfer saved data from one game cartridge to another.

This version (Shindou Edition) takes advantage of the Nintendo 64's Rumble Pak and adds ghost features to the game's time trial mode, in the form of a dolphin that competes against the player and represents the previous best time on the course. Some music and sound effects were also modified.
